Stock Categories


Stock Categories are those categories to which stock parts can be assigned. You can generate reports which have been filtered to include only parts that belong to a specified category.

Adding a new stock category

To add a new stock category:

1.Open GDS > Configuration Settings > Stock Categories.
2.Click the Edit icon Edit24 in the toolbar.
3.Click in the blank line which appears and enter the category description.
4.Click the Save icon Save24 in the toolbar.

Amending a stock category

To amend a stock category:

1.Open GDS > Configuration Settings > Stock Categories.
2.Click the Edit icon Edit24 in the toolbar.
3.Amend the category description as required.
4.Click the Save icon Save24 in the toolbar.

Deleting a stock category

To delete a stock category:

1.Open GDS > Configuration Settings > Stock Categories.
2.Click the Edit icon Edit24 in the toolbar.
3.Highlight the line you want to delete and press Ctrl and Delete.
4.Click the Save Save24 icon in the toolbar.
