VRM Lookup is a time-saving feature which enables you enter a vehicle registration mark and receive full details for the vehicle. This facility is an optional extra to GDS Workshop Manager and is paid for by purchasing credits through GDS.

To enable VRM lookups on vehicles:

Open GDS > Configuration Settings > System Settings > Other Settings and find the section 'VRM Vehicle Data Lookup'. Click the Edit icon in the toolbar and select the option 'Enable VRM Look on Vehicles'. Click the Save icon in the toolbar.

The facility is available when adding a new vehicle. Simply enter the registration mark of the vehicle and click the 'VRM Lookup' button. Information on the vehicle will be retrieved. Please note that the scope and detail of the information may be dependent on the age and type of vehicle. Generally the newer the vehicle the greater the amount and detail of the information.

Clicking the Extended tab will display further information about the vehicle.
